Hello Kathy, Just wanted to let you know I just finished a COMPLETE grooming session. I've worked w/my dog doing just one or two things over the past few weeks to get her used to me doing things I haven't been doing with her--- working up to a full "SPA" day --- today was IT!!! I am happy to report that Matte looks as cute as a button! The only thing I couldn't get her to hold still long enough for was to put the finishing touch of a little bow in her hair. A groomer gave me a tip on how to do that very quickly using a hemostat but I don't have one yet----so the bow will have to wait for another time. I'm sure there are areas that aren't perfect---but her overall appearance is very good and I got the personal areas done nicely. One area that I might need to work better on is her arm pits and getting the hair out of her ears really good----but did the best I could this time around and figure I will get better at it each time. Your book REALLY helped boost my confidence and I went about it today as if I knew exactly what I was doing--which I hope gave my dog a sense of security. I noticed that she did not go thru all the scared shaking that she does when I take her to a groomer---that made me feel very good. I took time for lots of hugs and praise as I went along--she behaved pretty good and hopefully she will get even better as together, we gain more experience. So---Thanks again for your clear simple instructions in your grooming book. I appreciate all the help---thank you very much. Now to go clean my glasses and change my shirt---I'm not sure WHO got the BATH!!! (>: Joyce Gotsch Illinois |

I found that "How to groom your Mutt" was very useful at my dog grooming shop for newly hired employees. Starting with no previous experience, my new employees gained confidence and had a good understanding of dog grooming and what is required of them. This book is very clear and easy to follow. It also helped to prevent many accidents with my first time groomers. It is very clear, easy to follow, and I recommend it to anyone who grooms dogs.

I have a golden retriever that hates to go to grooming shop's and it was a fight every time it was time to go again. So I decided one day to start grooming her myself, but I didn't want to have to spend the time to read a 100 page or more book on how to do this. I found your book to be short, easy and fun to read, with lots of good tips and information on how to groom my dog. Thank you Kathrine Durr for your book, it has made the occasion of dog grooming a happy one for me and my dog. Colleen Goulart, NV |

"How to groom your mutt" is fantastic! "Grooming Tricks" is a total asset-very important for the beginning groomer. The communication aspect is so important, after all, he or she is your friend. These tools can also be applied to cats and horses when used wisely. |

When I bought the book, "How to Groom your Mutt with Love", I had no idea how much help it would be as a guide to grooming my 3 Shi Tzus! There are so many helpful tips and suggestions. I now can do a much better job making my dogs look gorgeous, and I can do it properly, with love. My dogs are happy, too! Southern California |

Since mom bought your book, I just love my bath. The only problem is, sometimes I just have to wait and wait for that bathtub to fill up. But, I just keep watching and waiting (Too Cute) |
